1934 Rolls Royce "Silver Ghost" shooting brake, BARN FIND stored for 30 yrs

£14300
1934 Rolls Royce 25/30 Shooting brakeRegistration CYX 777Chassis number GHL4Engine number B28BThe car we have here has been stored un used for approximately the past 30 years, it has a very interesting history, originally a 25/30 limousine, in the late 70's it was restored in the style of a much earlier Edwardian Silver Ghost using original parts from an ex Maharaja's car such as the radiator, headlamps and wings etc.At that time it was also clothed in the fully restored shooting brake body, the body was discovered many years ago on the Methuen estate in Corsham Wiltshire, the remains of a shooting brake that had been used entirely on the estate, it had belonged to the grandfather of the present Lord Methuen and it served as the estate coach with the body originally commissioned  from S A Fuller of Bath. The engine and gearbox were also fully re conditioned at that timeThis car then became a regular sight around Bath transporting tourists around all the attractions, VIP passengers included Richard Branson and Miss World. The car is generally in very sound condition, the chassis etc is superb, it runs, drives and stops but will need a thorough re commissioning before returning to the road, its an 8 seater could be kept as it is or lots of potential to build into something else, maybe a glamorous camper or put a replica Ghost rear body on it (a genuine Silver Ghost would cost several hundred thousand pounds)The original Ghost parts fitted to it are worth a small fortune on their ownHere is a Rolls Royce that combines the elegance of the Edwardian era with the legendary reliability and performance of the mid 1930'sPlease remember this is sold as a barn find vehicle needing restoration/ re-commissioning work but its an excellent basis to start with and will make a very rewarding project, it could be roadworthy quite easily though in our opinion.LOW RESERVEComes with modern v5, old buff logbook, old mot's, invoices and newspaper clippings etc.WE MAY CONSIDER ADDING A BUY IT NOW PRICE TO THE LISTINGCan be viewed by appointment, call 0161-761-1615 (office hours)No bidders with less than 20 positive feedback, if you have less than this or recent negatives please give us a quick call prior to placing a bid otherwise it may be removedThe winning bidder must pay £500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending, the full balance must then be paid within 5 daysLocated in Bury near ManchesterDelivery possible at extra cost but the must be paid for in full prior to delivery
